Proper preparation on the day of your photo shoot can be the difference between a hectic family photo session and a stress-free one! Here are a few tips to make photo shoot day stress free for you and your family.
Pack essentials for the kids
Bring along a small bag with essentials for the kids. Pack snacks that won't stain their faces, such as crackers or fruit snacks, and drinks that are easy to manage. Include wipes for quick clean-ups and a comfort toy to help them feel secure. Consider bringing cold-weather accessories for cooler months. Having these items on hand can make the session smoother and more enjoyable for everyone.

Arrive Early
Give yourself plenty of time to arrive at your session 10-15 minutes early. Use the extra time to brush your kids' hair, wipe their faces, and make any final adjustments to their outfits! This extra time allows everyone to settle in, relax, and adjust to the surroundings.
Be Flexible and Patient
Flexibility is key to a successful photo session. Breathe, stay patient and go with the flow! Some of the best photos come from unexpected moments. If a child needs a break or a snack, we will take a moment to regroup. Patience and flexibility can lead to the most genuine and heartwarming photos!
New experiences like photo shoots can be stressful for both kids and adults. I want your family photo session to be a positive, stress free experience and I hope these tips can help.!
